On June 1, Chairman Wang Yuetao met with Deputy Minister of Iraq's Ministry of Oil, Laith Abdul Hussein Al-Shaher, in Beijing. The two sides had discussions regarding ZhenHua's production and operation in Iraqi oilfields as well as future cooperation.

Wang Yuetao introduced the overall operation of ZhenHua Oil's oil and gas industry chains and its domestic and international business layout to Raes. Wang Yuetao stated that ZhenHua Oil attaches great importance to the Iraqi market and continues to strengthen its upstream business investment. It also increases efforts in technological innovation and the application of research achievements to continuously enhance the level of oilfield exploration and development. At the same time, ZhenHua Oil actively fulfills its corporate social responsibility, focusing on promoting the implementation of scholarship programs and achieving common development with the local society. Wang Yuetao expressed the hope that the Ministry of Oil of Iraq would provide more support in further cooperation in new oil and gas projects and trade.

Laith Abdul Hussein Al-Shaher expressed gratitude for ZhenHua Oil's investment and development in the Ahdab Oilfield and the EBS Oilfield. These two projects have played a crucial role in encouraging post-war investment in Iraqi oilfields, also improving living conditions and promoting economic growth in Baghdad region. The Ministry of Oil of Iraq will continue to support ZhenHua Oil's operation in local oil fields.
